Signing of Service Contract between the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority and the Czech company UJV Rez, a. s.

The Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority has signed a contract with the Czech company UJV Rez, a. s. on Tuesday, November, 2021. In accordance with the Prime Minister’s Decree No. 9/7/17/2 dated 9/7/2017, ENRRA announced an international tender to select the best consulting company in the nuclear and radiological field, especially with expertise in the technology of nuclear power plant to be established at the El-Dabaa sites.  13 specialized consulting firms have submitted for this tender.

The Czech company UJV Rez, a. s. was chosen after fulfilling all the technical, financial and legal requirements in addition to obtaining the highest technical and financial evaluation. It’s worth mentioning that ENRRA has fulfilled all the national legal procedures and requirements, including the review of the contract by the State Council.

The contract signed with UJV covers 10 areas, including assistance in developing the regulatory framework, supporting the development of the integrated management system, contributing to building human calibers at the authority, supporting inspections and licensing of nuclear and radiological facilities and activities.
