ENRRA Participates in the 70th IAEA General Conference in Vienna

The Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA) is participating in the 70th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held in Vienna, Austria, from 14 to 18 September 2026, as part of the Egyptian delegation headed by H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Nasr, Egypt’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and International Organizations in Vienna.

The ENRRA delegation is headed by Dr. Hany Khedr, Chairman of ENRRA, and includes Mr. Ramy Afifi, Senior Strategic Communication and International Cooperation Specialist at ENRRA.

The participation reflects ENRRA’s commitment to strengthening Egypt’s engagement in specialized international forums and advancing international cooperation in nuclear and radiological safety and security and the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.

The delegation attended the opening session of the 70th General Conference, which featured an address by Mr. Rafael Mariano Grossi, IAEA Director General, to the Member States.

During the conference, the ENRRA delegation is also scheduled to hold a number of bilateral meetings with counterpart regulatory authorities to explore opportunities for future cooperation.
