Introductory Seminar Held at the Faculty of Education – Suez Canal University – as Part of Launching a Joint Awareness Program

Dr. Mahitab El Manawy, Head of the Public Relations and International Cooperation Department, and Mr. Ramy Afifi, Senior Specialist for Strategic Communication and International Cooperation, Liaison Officer with the Misr Public Libraries Fund, and Coordinator of ENRRA’s Children’s Awareness Programme, held a series of meetings in Ismailia Governorate as part of the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA) efforts to strengthen institutional partnerships and expand the implementation of its awareness activities.

Dr. El-Manawy began the meetings by meeting Ms. Amal Ragab, Manager of Misr Public Library in Ismailia Governorate, where coordination took place regarding upcoming awareness activities targeting schoolchildren, through Misr Public Library as ENRRA’s main cooperation pillar within the governorate.

This was followed by a meeting at the headquarters of the Directorate of Education and Technical Education in Ismailia Governorate with Mr. Ayman Moussa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, during which the first storybook launched by ENRRA as part of its children’s awareness programme—initiated in October—was presented.

In the same context, a meeting was held with Dr. Dina Abu El-Maati, Vice President of Suez Canal University for Community Service and Environmental Development, where the two sides agreed on developing a joint action plan to implement awareness activities across the University’s faculties during the coming period, with particular focus on the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Arts. The objective is to raise awareness among future teachers of ENRRA’s regulatory and oversight role, as well as the nuclear and radiological applications subject to its supervision, thereby contributing to raising awareness among school students in the future.

Dr. El-Manawy also met with Dr. Medhat Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Suez Canal University, and Dr. Nahla Tawadros, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, where agreement was reached on organizing a series of awareness activities for Faculty of Education students in the coming period. In this context, Dr. El-Manawy delivered an introductory and awareness seminar for faculty members and a number of students as part of the “Environmental Week Programme” organized by the Faculty of Education at Suez Canal University.

The meetings were attended by Ms. Amal Ragab, Manager of Misr Public Library in Ismailia Governorate, and Ms. Kholoud Mohamed, General Coordinator of Misr Public Library in the governorate.
