A) IAEA Integrated Work Plan

1- TC project 2022-2023

Project Title: “Improving Regulatory Framework and Infrastructure during Nuclear Power Plant Construction Phase”

Project Objective:
To enhance the capacities of ENRRA staff on regulatory activities (safety assessment, inspection, and authorization) during the construction phase of the El-Dabaa NPP.


2- TC project 2024-2025

Project Title: “Preparing for the Commissioning Phase of the Nuclear Power Plant Project and Enhancing Regulatory Infrastructure”

Project objective:
To strengthen the infrastructure for the commissioning phase of the nuclear power plant project and licensing of radiation facilities and activities.



B) The Arab Network of Nuclear Regulators (ANNuR)

Project Title: “Strengthening and Harmonizing Regional Arab Cooperation and Coordination in Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR)”

Project objective:
(i) To establish national emergency preparedness and response (EPR) frameworks and harmonize them for the Arab countries;
(ii) to develop national and regional capabilities to be prepared to respond to nuclear and radiological emergencies, and
(iii) to establish and/or improve proper and adequate mechanisms for responding to radiological and nuclear emergencies throughout the region.



C) African Regional Cooperative Agreement for Research AFRA

Project Title: Enhancing Radiation Safety Infrastructure”

Project Objective:
To strengthen the national radiation safety infrastructure in African member states to enable them to optimally benefit from the application of nuclear technology for socio economic development.



D) European Commission

Project Title: Strengthening nuclear safety regulatory capacity in Africa (Implemented through FNRBA)”

Project Objective:
To strengthen the nuclear safety regulatory capacity in Africa is:
The implementation of this project, signed between the European Instrument for Nuclear Safety Cooperation (INSC) and the French Agency for International Technical Expertise (Expertise France) for Strengthen the nuclear safety regulatory capacity in Africa is performed by the following implementing partners: ASNR (French Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection), BEL-V (Belgium Nuclear Technical Support Organization), Bureau Veritas, CSN (Spannish Nuclear Safety Council), GRS (German Society for the Safety of Nuclear Installations and Reactors), STUK (Finland Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority) and SUBJ (Czech State Office for Nuclear Safety). The partner countries of the project are Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria and South Africa.
