1- International Atomic Energy Agency Commissions & Committees:

Global Nuclear Safety and Security Network (GNSSN):

Prof. Samy Soliman “ENRRA Technical Advisor” is a Member at the Steering Committee of the Global Nuclear Safety and Security Network (GNSSN) which is a standing body of suitably qualified persons holding responsibilities in nuclear safety and/or security with recognized expertise in regulatory matters and nuclear knowledge management.

Safety Standards Commission & Committees:

ENNRA actively participates in drafting and reviewing of all safety standards documents and has representatives in all IAEA Safety Standards Committees; Nuclear Safety Standards Committee (NSSC) Radiation Safety Standards Committee (RASSC), Waste Safety Standards Committee (WASSC), Transport Safety Standards Committee (TRANSSC), and Emergency Preparedness and Response Standards Committee (EPReSC).

Nuclear Security Guidance Committee (NSGC):

The Nuclear Security Guidance Committee is a standing body of Senior Representatives in the area of Nuclear Security established to make recommendations to the Deputy Director General, Head of the Department of Nuclear Safety & Security (Deputy Director General).

2- The Arab Network of Nuclear Regulators (ANNuR):

The Arab Network of Nuclear Regulators (ANNuR) is one of the Regional Network of the IAEA created since 2010 aiming at strengthening and harmonizing the radiation protection, nuclear safety and security regulatory infrastructure and framework among its members; through the exchange of regulatory experiences and practices among the radiation and nuclear regulatory bodies in Arab countries.

Egypt is a founding member of ANNuR and had the honor to chair a number of its working groups such as Nuclear Safety, Security and safeguards Thematic Working Group 5 (TWG 5) and Waste Management (TWG 4).

ENRRA experts participated actively in the different Meetings, Workshops, Training Courses organized by ANNuR over the years; to share experiences and capture the lessons learned from the adopted best practices in the field.

3- Forum for Nuclear Regulatory Bodies in Africa (FNRBA):

ENRRA Chairman had the honor to serve as the deputy for FNRBA and has successfully hosted a number of FNRBA organized events.

ENRRA has appointed a Coordinator in each of FNRBA six TWGs; covering the areas of, “Radiation and Waste Safety”, “Nuclear Safety Infrastructure”, “Emergency Preparedness and Response”, “Transport Safety Infrastructure” and “Nuclear Security Infrastructure”.
