Safety of Nuclear Installations Sector (SNIS)

This Sector is generally responsible for exercising regularity control for the safety of nuclear installations in accordance with the Law (as amended), its Executive Regulation, regulations and all other rules and decrees to protect humans, property and the environment from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation; reports directly to the Chairman of the Board; supervises the Assessment & Licensing Department and the Nuclear Inspection & Enforcement Department.
