From El Khanka, Qalyubia Governorate… ENRRA Cooperates with Al-Azhar University

The Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological and Regulatory Authority (ENRRA) Strengthens Awareness Among Female Students of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies Regarding Its Regulatory Role and Public Communication Efforts:

Within the framework of cooperation between ENRRA and Al-Azhar University, ENRRA’s communication team, led by Dr. Mahitab El Manawy, Head of the Public Relations and International Cooperation Department, participated in an educational awareness event with students of the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies for Girls in Qalyubia Governorate.

The event aimed to enhance students’ understanding of ENRRA’s regulatory and oversight role over all nuclear and radiological activities in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in addition to highlighting the Authority’s public communication and awareness efforts, in accordance with Law No. 7 of 2010 on the Regulation of Nuclear and Radiological Activities.

The event started with welcoming remarks by Dr. Mazhar El-Ragheb, Dean of the Faculty, who expressed appreciation for the meeting and for ENRRA’s awareness efforts in strengthening public understanding.

Dr. Heba Allah Saudi, Professor of Nuclear Physics and Its Applications at the Faculty of Science (Girls), Al-Azhar University, and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, also delivered remarks highlighting the depth of cooperation between Al-Azhar University and ENRRA.

For her part, Dr. Mahitab El Manawy expressed appreciation for this event, noting that it represents ENRRA’s first engagement of its kind at Al-Azhar University’s Qalyubia branch. She highlighted the strong and ongoing cooperation between ENRRA and Al-Azhar and reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to expanding awareness and strengthening public understanding of its role.

Her presentation introduced ENRRA, its legal framework, and its role in regulating and overseeing nuclear and radiological activities to protect people, property, and the environment from radiation risks. It also highlighted the efforts of the Public Relations and International Cooperation Department in correcting misconceptions related to nuclear and radiological activities and strengthening public confidence in the Authority’s role.

 

The event was attended by faculty members, Ms. Manal El-Sherbiny, Faculty Manager; Ms. Rasha El-Naggar, Director of Student Affairs; as well as ENRRA’s communication team, including Mr. Ramy Afifi, Senior Specialist for Strategic Communication and International Cooperation; Mr. Mahmoud Gouda, Senior Public Relations Specialist and Editor-in-Chief of ENRRA’s magazine; Mr. Ibrahim Sadoun, International Cooperation Coordinator; Ms. Haneen Nagy, Communication Coordinator; and Ms. Omnia Ezzat , Public Relations Coordinator.
