ENRRA launches its first children’s awareness program on the regulatory role and peaceful applications of nuclear and radiological technology.

Featuring the Story “I Build and He Regulates” and the new character “ALARA”:
For the first time since its establishment, ENRRA launched today the first comprehensive awareness program designed for children aged from 6 to 12 years.
The awareness program aims to introduce them to ENRRA role in regulating the peaceful applications of nuclear and radiological technology.
This initiative comes within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between ENRRA and the Misr Public Library fund.
The program is designed to target children in different ages through variety of innovative mechanism’s publishing stories, storytelling, and interactive puppetry activities, all designed to simplify nuclear and radiological concepts for children, and to instill the principles of nuclear and radiological safety and security in the minds of the young generation.
It also aims to familiarize children with Egypt’s growing nuclear and radiological sectors and their promising career opportunities.
The launch ceremony featured the presentation of the program’s first children’s story, titled “I Build and He Monitors”, written by storyteller Ms. Nermeen Yousry, linguistically reviewed by Dr. Gamal Abou Gabal, Lecturer at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Al-Azhar University, and illustrated and designed by Dr. Omnia Azzam, Fine Arts Specialist at the Plastic Arts Sector and a children’s book illustrator.
The story was performed by the author together with the young talent Jowairiya Mahmoud Nosrat, who played the main character.
At the end of the event, attendees participated in a guided tour of ENRRA ’s headquarters, led by Dr. Mostafa Darwish, Head of the Technical Support and Laboratories Department.
The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Moqalled, Member of Parliament representing the Coordination Committee of Party’s Youth Leaders and Politicians, Eng. Sabera Sweilem, Head of Al-Amireya District, Mr. Madiha Ramadan, Director of Educational Services at Zeitoun Educational Administration, along with the story’s production team and the Misr Public Library Network delegation, which included:
Dr. Ahmed Aman, General Coordinator of Misr Public Libraries and ENRRA liaison officer.
From ENRRA, the event was attended by members of the Communication and International Cooperation Team, including Dr. Mahitab El Manawy, Head of the Public Relations and International Cooperation Department; Mr. Ramy Afifi, Senior Specialist for Strategic Communication and International Cooperation and ENRRA’s liaison with Misr Public Libraries; and Mr. Mahmoud Gouda, Senior Specialist for Public Relations and Chief Editor of ENRRA Magazine.
