Signing a memorandum of understanding between the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority and Ain Shams University

H.E Dr. Samy Shaaban, Chairman of the Board of the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority, signs a memorandum of understanding with Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research, to exchange experts and experiences in the nuclear and radiological field.

On Sunday, October 23, 2022, H.E Prof. Dr. Sami Shaaban, Chairman of the Board signed a memorandum of understanding with Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University; With the aim of enhancing areas of joint cooperation between the two sides.

This cooperation aims to increase knowledge and awareness, and to disseminate the authority’s expertise in the field of technical and administrative capacity building, crisis management, digital transformation, and integrated management systems.

In this context, the Vice President of the University praised the work system within the authority, and its pioneering role as an independent regulatory body that guarantees the safety and security of people, property and the environment.

While H.E Dr. Sami Shaaban confirmed the existence of a strict system within the authority, to follow up all cooperation frameworks that the authority signs with the various authorities, to ensure that the desired goals are achieved.

The signing of this cooperation comes within the framework of implementing an annual communication strategy developed by the ENRRA team to achieve specific goals which is to communicate with stakeholders and the interested parties, through various communication mechanisms and tools, whether on the national or international level, with the aim of properly defining the role of the ENRRA, defined by Law No. 7 of 2010, as an independent regulatory body that undertakes regulatory work and oversight tasks to benefit from the peaceful uses of atomic energy, in a manner that guarantees the safety and security of people, property and the environment from the dangers of exposure to ionizing radiation.
