- E Prof.Dr. Samy Shaaban met today Mr. Neil Jarvis, PMO, Division of Africa, Technical Cooperation Department, IAEA.
During the meeting H.E Prof. Dr. Samy Shaaban, presented in details the history of the peaceful Nuclear Program of Egypt that started since 1960s and highlighted the main milestones including the Governmental Agreement signed between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Russian Federation in 2015, for collaboration in the construction and operation of a Nuclear Power Plant equipped with four NPP units with capacity of 1200 MW each.
Afterwards, H.E Prof Dr. ENRRA Chairman presented the legal framework governing of the Authority’s role and mandate.
During the visit Mr. Neil visited the Center of Excellence of ENRRA and the Technical Laboratories.
H.E the vice chairman of ENRRA Professor Dr. Usama Seddik led the discussions between ENRRA team and the Head of the PMO Division for Africa in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in regards to the future projects and aspects of cooperation between ENRRA and IAEA.
