The Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA), in its official capacity and as part of its mandate to protect public health and the environment, is closely following the ongoing situation at the Natanz nuclear facility in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This follow-up is undertaken through official communication channels, including updates from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and official statements issued by the Iranian authorities.
According to available information, both the IAEA and the Iranian government have confirmed that the radiological situation at the facility remains stable and under control, with no indication of any radioactive release or breach of nuclear safety.
In parallel, ENRRA continues 24/7 monitoring of background radiation levels across the Arab Republic of Egypt through its nationwide radiation monitoring, early warning, and notification network. As of this statement, no abnormal radiological readings or changes in background radiation levels have been detected within Egyptian territory.
ENRRA remains in constant coordination with all relevant national and international entities and will continue to provide timely updates should any developments arise. The authority reaffirms its commitment to transparency, public safety, and environmental protection.
